Md Faiyaz Bin Hassan
Md Faiyaz Bin Hassan has been pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, since Fall 2023. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Applied Electromagnetics Lab under the supervision of Dr. Shubhendu Bhardwaj. His research encircles topics such as various computational models for FDTD Electromagnetic Simulations, RF antennas etc. He was awarded the UNL College of Engineering Professional Development Fellowship in Summer 2025. He received his B.Sc. from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh in 2021. As a part of his undergraduate thesis project, Faiyaz studied the Surface Plasmon Resonance phenomenon in photonic crystal fibers and their applications in sensor technology.

H.M. Arifur Rahman
H.M. Arifur Rahman received his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2016 and his MSc in the same discipline from North South University (NSU), Bangladesh, in 2019. Apart from some short-term contractual jobs in the field of engineering, he continued his research practice after his MSc and joined as a full-time research assistant in the department of electrical and computer engineering at North South University in 2021, where he worked until July 2024. During this period, he was involved in multiple research projects on intensive antenna research, including arrays, implantable and conformal textile antennas for wireless body area networks (WBAN), and body-centric wireless communication (BCWC).In August 2024, he joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working as a graduate research assistant and doing research on multiplexers and advanced antenna techniques. His research interests include advanced antenna designing techniques, electromagnetics, wireless power transfer, and satellite communication. He remains a young, active researcher, with 20+ peer-reviewed journals and conference articles.
